The fall salmon season begins in July and lasts until the end of December. Generally speaking, we spend most of this time of year concentrating on the Klamath & Rogue, and then moving to the Chetco & Smith Rivers as salmon and steelhead fill the rivers. Conditions and numbers of fish determine where our fishing takes place. |

Fall chinook salmon range from 10 pounds all the way up to 50 pounds. These salmon can be caught using anchovies, spinners, Kwikfish lures and fresh cured salmon roe. Bring a jacket and rain gear , an ice chest for your catch, a camera, sunglasses and a hat. Jim supplies all the fishing gear and bait. We use only G. Loomis and Lamiglass Fishing Rods. But if you have a favorite battle tool, please feel free to bring it. |
