The fall salmon season begins in July and lasts until the end of December. Generally speaking, we spend most of this time of year concentrating on the Klamath & Rogue, and then moving to the Chetco & Smith Rivers as salmon and steelhead fill the rivers. Conditions and numbers of fish determine where our fishing takes place.

Fall chinook salmon range from 10 pounds all the way up to 50 pounds. These salmon can be caught using anchovies, spinners, Kwikfish lures and fresh cured salmon roe.

Bring a jacket and rain gear , an ice chest for your catch, a camera, sunglasses and a hat. Jim supplies all the fishing gear and bait. We use only G. Loomis and Lamiglass Fishing Rods. But if you have a favorite battle tool, please feel free to bring it.
